Day 1 Photos

This was our first stop. This is an archway along the way to Buckingham Palace in Hyde Park. London seems to be just overrun with statues everywhere.  And not the small tiny stupid ones seen in my home town *cough* Did I say that out loud? But they are huge. Most dwarf people. They weren't kidding around with their statues.  And tons of memorials.  All over central London.

The walk way to Buckingham Palace. It was beautiful with the tree cover.
Lions are all over London. Statues, carvings, coat of arms, paved into the sidewalks (okay, I'm kidding with that last one) everywhere! Instead of gargoyles, London as lions.  And all are anatomically correct, if you know what I mean.  This one was located at the fountain in front of Buckingham Palace.
And here is Buckingham Palace itself!
This was all over the walkways by Buckingham.  For Princess Diana
War memorial for the 'Great War'.  The statue was all naked except the ivy leaf. I can almost hear those groans. Don't worry, not all have the leaf  ; )
